My journey to forming an abundance mindset and start living abundantly is one that has continued over many years. It is an ongoing journey with new experiences and new learning curves every day.

Introduction
It has been a journey of slow revelations and ‘aha’ moments that started with ill health. Nothing that anyone would call ‘serious’, but a constant battle with fatigue and quiet, niggly health issues that are not diagnosable in allopathic medicine. A visit to a Naturopath was the first step of enlightenment and realisation of what our daily intake of bad food can do to our bodies. It does not make you sick overnight and no, it will not kill you (like my son loved to say), but it certainly affects your quality of life. The biggest shocker was, when I realised that even fresh veggies and fruit can be bad when they are filled with chemicals. And so, my journey to understanding the importance of healthy organic food and organic supplementation started. And once you are on this path of revelations, many more moments of enlightenment follow. However, be prepared – it is not an easy journey when you embark on a mission that is very different to the path that the general public are following.
Our Holistic Body

Our body is a holistic vessel and everything affects everything else. Nothing is a stand-alone issue. Our activity or lack thereof, interactions with family and friends, time for reflection or ‘me time’ and money worries, all affect our wellbeing just as much as our diet. It is a beautiful dance of life to keep it all in balance and not neglect any part of it. Slow but steadily I became very aware of what I put into my body. The best analogy I heard was, “How can you expect your car to run well, if you put the wrong fuel in its tank?” There was so much to learn! Remembering to read labels and get wise on ingredients in the food I was putting into my trolley. My yardstick very quickly became: “If you cannot pick it or dig it up or slaughter it or milk it – don’t eat it” ie avoid all processed food as much as you can. Sadly, this is easier said than done and in my case, took a long time to adapt to.
Mental Health is important

As I am no mental health expert, nor profess to be, I can only give you some insights into my personal experience. As I started to eat more healthy foods, my body started thanking me for it and very soon, my mind followed suit and craved the same healthy input. I suddenly found myself having no desire at all to consume the daily news, which is mostly fear based. Instead I was searching for peaceful, happy content to read online. I found articles related to personal growth and even, dare I say, a bit philosophical at times. I consciously started reading only material, that would make me feel better or even make me laugh.
The Spiritual Aspect

The spiritual side of life was very much a part of my upbringing as I grew up in a Christian family, but it was not so much a part of me. I vividly remember asking my Mum some years ago, when it was that she became spiritually engaged so that it actually became a part of her. She told me it was in the later years of her life where the daily practice started to really mean something to her and have an impact on her life. Today I can relate to what she said. It was only when I started embracing a holistic approach to my own health and wellbeing that I realised how important the spiritual aspect is. Finding time to meditate every morning and spending time in quiet contemplation whilst also reading spiritual text, is such a big part of holistic health. It gives life a deeper meaning and a purpose.
Finding your Purpose

Easier for some than for others. This was the most difficult one for me. I have spent my entire life not knowing what I am truly passionate about. It took a very long time for me to realise that my quest for health in all its aspects and living an abundant life IS my passion. I am equally passionate about helping others to realise how fulfilled and beautiful your life can be when all the various pillars of Abundance dance in harmony with each other and create holistic synergy.
Financial Independence

My financial journey to Abundance is ongoing. I realised, that in order to reach true financial freedom, I have to start living life on my own terms and never let someone else pull the strings over my life again. For years and years, I gave away my power to a corporate machine that put me in a box with certain parameters and no matter what I did, I was not going to achieve anything more than the limits that were put on me. Furthermore, I had very little interest in what I was doing and completely lacked passion.
Achieving the last pillar of abundance ie being financially independent and with it gain more freedom of time, is the biggest challenge and mindset change! It was another ‘aha’ moment when I realised that the whole corporate system no longer resonates with me. None of it! I had to find a way of earning an income where I can embrace my own interests and my passion. I also soon realised that I am not alone in this quest and that now, more than ever, people are ditching the system and seeking another, better way, so that they can have a life that is more holistically in balance.

Whilst and Abundant Life is not dictated by financial wealth, we are living in a world where everything is just easier with financial independence and stability. It is the cornerstone of living an Abundant Lifestyle. I found financial independence through embracing modern systems and technology by building an online income. This gives me the time and flexibility to pay attention to all the other pillars that make up an Abundant Lifestyle and keep creating a life that I LOVE.
I invite you to journey with me and learn more about how you can start your financial abundance journey.
